We look at the movies available with the platform and the app performance to see if it would be worth downloading or not.

The free movies app has a dark theme with a three-tabbed interface. The first tab is called 'Home', the second one is called 'Discover' and the third one is 'Account'. The Home section contains different recommended movies with lists all present by genres. The Discover section is where you can search for movies or TV shows. You can also browse content by tabs called 'For You', 'Collections', 'Genres' and 'Channels'. The Account section is for contacting the help center and changing Caption settings etc.

The 'For You' section in Discover tells you about recently added titles, most popular movies on Tubi and the movie/TV series you are currently watching. The Collections section is for watchlists created by the app with collections like Cult classics, Award Winners and Highly Rated on Rotten Tomatoes. The Channels section is for particular kind of content uploaded by channels present on the app. These include BabyFirst TV, Complex Networks, CONtv etc.
The free movies app provides a lot of information when you tap on the title of any movie or TV series or music album. You can watch the trailer, look at the synopsis, view the directors, cast, and see the runtime, year of release and the age rating assigned. You can add the title to your list or play the movie/TV series directly through the play button. Tubi has a solid video player that is clear and full of options. You can pause, move forward 15 seconds and move back 15 seconds with the three buttons at the center of the screen. Moreover, you can enable and disable captions by tapping at the option appearing on the top right of the screen.

The Tubi app is well designed and works well with the content available. While the platform does not have many very popular and recent movies, there are some great movies available that you might not even hear about if you keep watching Netflix or Amazon Prime. While research might be needed before you start a movie, you will have a good time in using the app to watch any selected movie or TV series.
